Incredible 10 Years in Navi Mumbai

It was 8th of August 2005 when I left Roha and came to Navi Mumbai for pursuing the higher education (Engineering) after completing the H.S.C exam. It was very sad day as my Mom, Dad, and Brothers were crying. I couldn’t stop crying as I was also depressed. I travelled around 4 hours from Roha to Thane and couldn’t stop crying thought the journey. I finally arrived at maternal uncle’ place and he taught many things about this city. I had come to Navi Mumbai with a lot of dreams (Engineering was my first dream). I had taken admission in A.C.Patil College of Engineering (IT branch). I met many friends here; some of them are from sophisticated and poor family background. These students were from Konkan, West Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Maharashtra, and outside my Maharashtra. I was very scared on first day of my college and I met Siddharth who was my first friend from A.C.Patil College of Engineering and was also from the same branch. I had got many friends from this college some of them are Sachin, Sunil, Milind, Rahul, Pankaj, Amol, Parag, Roshan, Yogesh, Sagar, Tejas, kalpesh, Santosh, Prashant etc. I had a great time there and learnt many things from these friends, college, professors.

I first started staying in Kharghar and I stayed here for  8 years. I was very scared when I came to Navi Mumbai as it was new city for me (Navi Mumbai is sub-urban area of Mumbai). I had to learn many things from this city. I started becoming a Navi Mumbaikar as I learnt many Navi Mumbaikar’ habits. I would say that I am become 100% Navi Mumbaikar. I like this city because everything is this city is well-planned. CIDCO has made it a Planned City and Navi Mumbai is now known as High Tech City as my IT companies have been situated here.

I am successfully completed incredible 10 years in this city. This city has given me a lot and I owe it. I would say Navi Mumbai is my “Karma Bhoomi“. I was just a small kid when I came here. Now, I have become a professional online marketer now. I never thought that I would achieve many things in life but this city has given more than I deserve. I really hate those people who say that Navi Mumbai is a village. Navi Mumbai is actually a great place to live comfortable and luxurious life. I didn’t want to leave Navi Mumbai but shifted to Vasai for 5 months. I couldn’t cope up with Western Line local train traveling and I again shifted to Vashi two years back. I was very happy as I came back to Navi Mumbai. Now, I am living a comfortable and peaceful life in Navi Mumbai. I am very grateful to this city and I am sure that I will do something for this city in future.
